Pallet & Drive-in Racking

Selective Racking

Applications - Storage of Pallets

Selective Racking

Selective racking is the most widely used form of pallet racking. It provides 100% access to all pallets allowing stock rotation on the "first in, first out" principle. It does not require special materials handling equipment as it can be used with standard counter balanced fork trucks.

A range of standard bay widths, depths and heights are available with various beam and column sections to suit the span and loading configuration.

Drive-In Racking

Applications - Storage of Pallets

Drive-In Racking

Drive-in racking is used for the storage of "like" product. It provides limited access to all pallets with stock rotation on the "first in, last out" principle, but offers greater storage capacity in total pallets stored for a given floor area. It does not require special materials handling equipment as it can be used with standard counter balanced fork trucks.

Double Deep Racking

Applications - Storage of pallets

Double Deep Racking is, as its name implies, two bays deep and used for the storage of pallets of like product in a bay. It provides limited access to all pallets with stock rotation on "first in, last out" principle but with greater access to more pallets than Drive-In Racking. It provides for greater storage capacity in total pallets stored for a given floor area than Selective Racking, but requires special materials handling equipment.

Sizes - As Selective Pallet Racking.

Narrow Aisle Pallet Racking

Applications - Storage of pallets or Cartons/Items

Narrow Aisle Pallet Racking

Similar to Selective Racking, Narrow Aisle Racking is used for the storage of pallets or other items when used as shelving, with narrow aisles for specialised materials handling equipment to operate in. It provides full access to all pallets or stock, with stock rotation on a "first in first out" principle with a greater storage capacity for a given floor area than Selective Racking. Narrow Aisle Racking requires special materials handling equipment operating in aisles with guide rails.
